Batik Boutique opened its first brick-and-mortar retail space on Wednesday, 13 December. The boutique combines traditional Malaysian aspects with a fresh and modern perspective.
Items ranging from games, homeware, accessories, and apparel can be found in store. All purchases made from Batik Boutique benefit artisans in Malaysia.
All of the Batik Boutique items are hand-dyed and handmade. A few other local brands such as Fugeelah and Projek 57 are showcased as well. The Grand Opening was officiated by Deborah Henry, co-founder of the Fugee School, and was attended by customers, friends, family, and partners.
