Batik Boutique is growing and we are hiring for the following positions:
Assist the Admin Manager in daily operational tasks including overseeing retail and consignment outlets and operations. Must have strong sense of organization and details, 2 years experience in accounting, and a strong ability to communicate to customers in English.
Produce the designs and collections for Batik Boutique brand, both in product and apparel. Must have a proficient knowledge of sewing and pattern making, ability to train beneficiaries in sewing skills, and proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
Social Media Marketing/Design Specialist
Oversee the direction and social media calendar and content writing and upload all collections on our website. Must possess strong written communication skills, experience in marketing, and proven history in growing a brand’s social media following and influence.
Support our growing design team by assisting in textile sampling for wholesale or corporate customers, teach basic batik classes to customers, and explore new dye techniques. Must be proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Beneficiary Administrative Assistant
Work on the ground with our beneficiaries by assisting our Production Manager in daily tasks at our sewing centre. Must have a strong sense of organization and details, a “go get’ attitude, and own transportation for sourcing supplies and materials for projects. Preference given to those with proficient sewing skills.
Offered to graduates and working professionals in many diverse fields like photography and videography, graphic design, fashion design, supply chain management, operations, and community development. This position is open for all nationalities for a duration of 3 months - 1 year.
