Amy Blair is our founder, and CEO. We are an award-winning social enterprise, we are championing and helping to preserve Malaysian batik and bring it to the global stage. Batik Boutique has not only carved a lasting presence in the local scene but has grown to be an international brand, exporting, shipping products to over 40 countries, and partnering with multinational companies. From our humble beginnings in 2013, we have now produced over 1,000,000 products and worked with 150 artisans in Malaysia.

This quote by John Wesley resonated with our founder and is her desire to do all the good she can. It started as a small effort to help a friend Ana, a single mother, who at the time was looking for more income to support her family. Amy founded Batik Boutique in the belief that women like Ana deserved a fair and sustainable income, and the ability to provide for themselves and their families. What Amy did was a small effort to help, but it resulted in a great thing; a business with purpose.
Our enterprise has since grown by leaps and bounds, from seamstresses working inside their own flats to a sewing and production centre, office space, and three retail boutiques. It is a business with a vision to provide sustainable income opportunities for women and artisans in Malaysia and focused on providing skills training and economic opportunity for local artisans by promoting their products in the global marketplace.
Batik Boutique's brand awareness and digital presence are growing globally and Amy is keen on building a lasting brand and legacy for the heritage craft of Malaysia.
